Call me crazy BUT I bet they will be discussion the upcoming changes to their awful SEL (Social Emotional Learning) propaganda. The addition of something being referred to as the “5 C’s” (as of July 1) are the magical amendment to SEL that will make it a requirement for our kids to graduate HS as social justice warriors.

Dear fellow educator, VEA is collaborating with the Virginia Department of Education to create webinars on equity and culturally responsive teaching, and I invite you to join me and Virginia Superintendent of Public Instruction James Lane to learn more about these vitally important topics. The sessions will be offered on May 25 and May 26 beginning at 5:30 pm. This is a chance for all members to learn more about the new culturally responsive teaching licensure requirements approved by the General Assembly as well as other equity-focused work of the department.
