Why Does LCPS Continue To “Misrepresent The Facts” Or Lie To Parents and Press??

Why does LCPS continue to lie to parents and the press? The level of deception is off the charts and LCPS must have set a new record. Just yesterday, P.A.C.T. posted “Only “Students of Color” Can Participate in LCPS STUDENT EQUITY AMBASSADORS Program”. We embedded the ORIGINAL LCPS document “Student Equity Ambassador Information Packet” and all of the facts and original LCPS context is right there in black and white. However, today not only did LCPS delete and rewrite some of the context from the ORIGINAL document, but Wayde Byard, the LCPS Public Information Officer, explicitly told a reporter, just doing their job, that “LCPS does not have an Equity Ambassador Program”. Keep in mind, LCPS passed the “Comprehensive Equity Plan”, UNANIMOUSLY in early September 2020. What makes Wayde’s denial so BAD is that the “Student Equity Ambassador” initiative is available for the world to see in their “LCPS Action Plan to Combat Systemic Racism (Embedded below)” and it states:

Page (15) of the Embedded LCPS Action Plan to Combat Systemic Racism: “LCPS Administration will include multiple stakeholders, including secondary students representing MSAAC Ambassadors and high school student affinity groups, in the development of the framework to assist with creating an inclusive and affirming environment.”

This marks the 2nd “misrepresentation of the facts” or lies (whichever makes you more comfortable) from Wayde in the past (30) days and Ian Serotkin on September 9th. There’s clearly more but cannot post without connecting the dots and providing the facts. The pattern is this (so far), these (3) lies we’ve been told all have to do with this wonderful “Equity” initiative. Imagine what we don’t know……….Yet.
