It is too much to ask that our kids spend their time in English learning how to formulate a grammatically correct sentence. Why waste time learning grammar and reading comprehension skills when there is so much activist work to be done?
Parents, tell your children’s teachers that you would like an alternative assignment when they ask them to write about a controversial social issue. Tell your children’s teachers that you do not approve of their mission to turn your child into an activist. Tell your children’s teachers that your kids are on loan to them for 6.5 hours per day, and that they are YOURS, not THEIRS. Their job is to teach them skills that will enable them to be productive citizens, not haters of America and whiny kneelers during the National Anthem.
