Way back in 1996, the Oakland Unified School District introduced a new racist and FAILED linguistics concept known as “Black English” or “Ebonics”. Even the race baiting king himself, Jesse Jackson was appalled, saying:
“I understand the attempt to reach out to these children, but this is an unacceptable surrender border-lining on disgrace. . . . It’s teaching down to our children and it must never happen. Black children would face much harder prospects finding jobs if they have not mastered standard English.”
Why am I bringing up the failed “Ebonics Experiment”? Simple, Loudoun County Public Schools is turning to the very same school district that brought the world “Ebonics”, the Oakland Unified School District. So why is LCPS doing this? Does OUSD have a stellar academic report card, teachers, and administration? Nope, it’s because they have an “A” in Diversity. LCPS is planning your child’s ENTIRE educational future around Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity, and not academics, this is CRT, this is how they build a Social Justice army. Oakland Unified School District is a public school district located in Oakland, CA. It has 36,524 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 19 to 1. According to state test scores, 27% of students are at least proficient in math and 33% in reading.
Below are (2) documents. The first is an overview of the new “Equity Policy” LCPS reviewed just tonight (6/3/21), and the second is the Oakland Unified School Districts “Equity” Policy. Notice the comments from the LCPS “influencers/decision makers”, are there any that scream or even suggest concerns about academics? In all fairness, LCPS is also reviewing information from Montgomery County, MD, but adding that info would make this post too long. Again, in all fairness, Montgomery’s report card is much better than OUSD, however, they are also out on a radical woke limb.
