8/23/21: Email from LCPS to All Parents:
The new school year brings a welcome return to in-person learning, creating opportunities to see what academic skills our students retained from last year and what supports they need for success this year. It is important that teachers spend time collecting data to inform their instruction so they can consistently remediate and enrich student learning. Some of the data is collected through day-to-day informal assessments, such as the reading screening tool, i-Ready.
Students in grades 9-12 will take the online, computer adaptive i-Ready assessment in their English course between September 7, 2021, and October 2021. Parents will receive a score report with their student’s reading achievement scores several weeks after the test window, in ParentVUE under the Documents tab.
Students attending Park View High School will take the Reading Inventory Assessment, rather than the i-Ready assessment due to unique programming needs. Questions about the i-Ready or Reading Inventory Assessment can be directed to your student’s English teacher.
