3/28/21: NAACP Rejected “LCPS Apology” Demanded Terms of Conciliation
Let’s ask the question again, why on God’s green earth would LCPS and Loudoun County residents allow a black supremacist group to dictate how the school system should operate and function?
Quick recap, the NAACP helped to create LCPS’s “Action Plans to Combat Systemic Racism”. On page (20) of this document (embedded below), that again was created jointly between LCPS and the NAACP (I have no idea why) the “Action” states “LCPS will formally apologize for the history of operating segregated schools” (again, no idea why that was over 50 years ago).
On August 27, 2020, NAACP’s Michelle Thomas sent a flamer of an email condemning the LCPS apology (that she was well aware of) and DEMANDED instead that LCPS implement the NAACP’s Terms of Conciliation (embedded below). The NAACP’s ToC demands are enough to make a billygoat get sick: NAACP is a stakeholder in Academies of Loudoun admissions policies, eliminate standardized testing, revise elementary grade level gifted and talented, and on, and on, and on.
Why in the world would anyone take what the NAACP says as gospel? For example, LCPS and NAACP officially made changes to the admission requirements for Academies of Loudoun in August 2020. Keep in mind, AOL has only been open since fall 2018 and the NAACP is demanding there be at least a 7% black student enrollment population at AOL. In the 2020/2021 school year, the black student enrollment at AOL is 5%, up almost 2% from the previous year and 3% from 2018. The gradual increase in black student enrollment at AOL has been based on the students own merit, drive, and interest, therefore demanding the minimization of the admission criteria was nothing more than grandstanding, creating a fictional “systemic racism” pandemic, and unnecessarily harming the education of black students and all others.
The NAACP and LCPS-MSAAC are the culprits that are marginalizing black students. They make them “victims” and tell the rest of us that we’re the ones that are racist. From where I sit, the NAACP and LCPS-MSAAC do not give black students enough credit to achieve educational goals all on their own. They claim to speak for the “black community” and they know best, but do they? No, they’re race hustlers forcing a negative perception of black students as well as white. Want your student to be challenged or be the forever victim?
